Cafe Santropol - Montreal

It was a crisp day and prior to our hike up to Mont Montreal we stopped at Cafe Santropol. The atmosphere was both light and cheerful with an inviting terrace decorated with beaded paper lanterns dangling throughout and cozy colored cushions randomly placed on couches that transformed you back to the 60's hip era.  The range of bright colorful tables and chairs within an enchanted garden exuberated life yet was peaceful and relaxing at the same time.

The menu had a great selection of sandwiches, soups, chili and desserts as well. I decided to go with the vegetarian chili served with an array of colorful tortilla chips. It proved to be a tasty choice seasoned to my preference. Being from a European background I prefer it on the spicier side and was not disappointed.

This is definitely a very unique Cafe with great food and variety of both hot and cold beverages served in an atmosphere that is fun to explore and experience. Located at 3990 Rue St-Urbain in Montreal. Bon Appetit!
